Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Her debut in a feature film was a small role in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donavan played the role in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte was in Taffin (in the year 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model who asked her to perform the role of a model. Then she began an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody was determined to steer clear of glamorous and sexy roles, which was a principle she followed in her acting. When she came to the director's notice for an upcoming James Bond film, Doody accepted a minor role for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was named as one the 12 most promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody aged 18 in the role of Doody in Bond, was and is still the oldest Bond girl until today. in 1987 Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA member Siobhan Doovan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV adaptation from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal she went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody played a role in The 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. Her roles included a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 as well as a booklet on the Holocaust, and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on the 21st of November in 2018. The actress also was given an award on the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
