Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson was born July 7 on the 7th of July in 1968. She is an American actress , best known for her roles in Blue Bloods as Linda Reagan, Alex Taylor as well as Josie Watts on the NBC soap drama Another World.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois"DuPage County" IllinoisElmhurst, Illinois] which is near Chicago. She was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers at school. Carlson is of Swedish descent, and has roots in Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-92: Early career and college



 She was first introduced to Hollywood when she worked as a background actor in the film Lucas featuring Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim, as well as Winona Ryder. She then followed her elder sister Betsy who attended Knox College in Galesburg.
