Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made her skills, she placed second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top 3 in her various events during the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
